Agent Stephen Hill joined Catholic Order of Foresters (COF) this past January after being recruited by General Agent Peter Nelson of COF’s Southeastern Agency.
Stephen decided to take an independent route to serve his clients and his local Catholic community. The two things Stephen thinks are unique to COF are the Fraternal Legacy Rider (FLR) and our Flexible Premium Life product.
He appreciates the flexibility of Catholic Order of Foresters’ life insurance policies. “[COF’s insurance plans] are extremely powerful resources a family could opt into,” said Stephen.
He approaches his work as a career and ministry rolled into one.
“It’s a lifestyle for my family and me,” said Stephen. “We love that now, through COF, we get to integrate our faith, family business, and be active and serve the Catholic population in such a valuable way.”
In Stephens’s opinion, there are many reasons why he loves his career choice. “I love getting to meet a person or family for the first time. That first sit-down means everything. It gives us the chance to connect on a deeper level,” he said.
He mentioned how deep the conversation can go, even in the early minutes, and by the end, he has learned someone’s story.
“[My] goal is for these people to walk away feeling protected,” said Stephen.
Stephen’s career choice did not stem from earthly inspiration. No professional in his field pushed to make him get into this business. But there is credit to be given to his colleagues and mentors along the way.
Stephen also uses his Catholic faith and career to inspire young Catholics while serving on the board for the Young Catholic Professionals chapter in Atlanta.
“By virtue of our faith, we are called to serve others. We preserve the integrity of families, trying to help them thrive even when the worst happens,” he said.
