South Dakota Resident Elected to High Court
Sharon Mack, of South Dakota, was elected to position of High Court Trustee on Catholic Order of Foresters’ High Court, also known as the organization’s board. Mack is a member of St. Nicholas 403 in Kranzburg, South Dakota, one of Catholic Order of Foresters’ local courts (groups of members). She graduated from Northern State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Mack is a retired teacher and mother of three. “My dedication of teaching for 35 years at the same school system reflects my reliability,” Mack said. She served as Youth Director of her local court from 1986 to 2010, Trustee for the South Dakota State Court from 1996 to 2000, and currently serves as Treasurer of the South Dakota State Court and Trustee of her local court.
“We enjoy socializing and joining hands together to feed God’s children unconditionally,” Mack said, about her and her husband’s community involvement. When she was elected, she was humbled and surprised. “My heart felt as though it was God’s approved plan, and I am very grateful to serve,” she added. Mack is hoping her service on the High Court is productive and actively engaging.
“My business appreciation continues to be formed with our growing family farm and serving my 20th year as the state treasurer for Catholic Order of Foresters,” Mack said as part of why she felt called to run for position of High Court Trustee. “Overall,” she continued, “my wish is to use my gifts to do even better for the Order and to do good things for our changing world.” Her role as High Court Trustee will take effect on January 1, 2021.
