Mark Wessely Elected to High Court
Mark Wessely of Luxemburg, Wis., was elected to the Catholic Order of Foresters Board of Trustees during the organization’s 50th National Convention in Omaha, Neb. Wessely has been a COF member since 1951, and he has earned the Legion of Honor (Third Degree) and Merit Award from COF. Wessely has held various positions with his local (St. Joseph 2080, Luxemburg, Wis.) and state courts (Wisconsin). He served as State Court Trustee from 2008-2012, Local Court Vice Chief Ranger from 1975-1977, Local Court Chief Ranger (1977-1983), and Local Court Youth Director (1985-1997). Currently he serves as State Court Treasurer, District Secretary and Local Court Recording Secretary.
Wessely graduated from Luxemburg-Casco High School and earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He works for the Town of Montpelier where he is responsible for elections, state and federal reports, and financial records.
He wants “to make sure that COF remains a viable and growing fraternal insurance company retaining the fraternal aspects of the Order” during his time as a High Court Trustee. Wessely describes one of his favorite COF memories as the fraternal activities and the people he has met.
