Iowa High Court Trustee Donates to Peace & Justice Center

In November 2017, High Chief Ranger Dave Huber announced that each of the High Court Trustees (board members) had the opportunity to donate $1,000 to a Catholic charity of his or her choosing. The criteria: the organization must be affiliated with the Catholic Church, and it must be a Catholic organization that provides food or assistance to those in need.

Julie Bries of St. Francis 607, Worthington, Iowa, presented a $1,000 check to the Father Ray Herman Peace and Justice Center at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. The money will be used for meal preparation at the Hope House and the Catholic Worker House, both in Dubuque. Julie presented the check to Stacia McDermott of Loras College.
