Minnesota Agent Earns FIC of the Year Award

Brian Marketon earns award for second year in a row.

For the second year in a row, Agent Brian Marketon of Minnesota has been named the Fraternal Insurance Counselor (FIC) of the Year by Catholic Order of Foresters. Fraternal benefit societies award this honor to individuals who are members of the National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors (NAFIC) and who provide exemplary service to members, do quality business and participate in fraternal activities. “When considering all of the great agents that work with Catholic Order of Foresters, I am truly honored and humbled to represent all of them as FIC of the Year for 2019,” Brian said.

Brian consistently ranks as one of Catholic Order of Foresters’ top agents and has an extensive history of dedication to fraternal outreach. He has sponsored and been greatly involved with Feeding God’s Children (FGC) meal-packing events for the past seven years, helping pack between 70,000 and 80,000 meals for those in need. He planned and hosted an FGC event of his own, during which volunteers packed more than 10,000 meals. He is involved with breakfast fundraisers, court meetings and Matching Funds events for local courts and the Minnesota State Court, in addition to planning Spirituality Tap-in events that gather crowds of 60 people on average.

Scholarships are something Brian’s passionate about and heavily involved with; the MN State Court Matching Funds events provide scholarships for seminarians, and local courts have sponsored five scholarships for Catholic school students.

Outside of the work he does for the Society, Brian gives back to his community by serving on several advisory councils and volunteering at his parish. His commitment to Catholic Order of Foresters and his dedication to the people he serves is evident through his actions, which have earned him the FIC of the Year honor two years running.
