Ronald Freund Elected to High Court

Illinois resident Ronald Freund was elected to COF's High Court at the 50th National Convention.

Ronald Freund of McHenry, Ill. was appointed to Catholic Order of Forester's High Court as a Trustee on February 26, 2015, but he was elected as a COF High Court Trustee on August 15, 2016 at the National Convention in Omaha, Neb. He has earned the Legion of Honor (Third Degree) award from COF. Freund served as a State Court Trustee from 2012-2015, president of Northern Illinois Association of Courts in 2011, Chief Ranger of his local court - St. Mary 594 in McHenry - from 1999-2001, and Treasurer of his local court from 1997-1998. He graduated from McHenry Community High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Northern Illinois University.

Currently, Freund works for PMA Outdoor Equipment selling lawn and garden equipment to retail dealerships and stores.

"I...believe that I can help make a difference in guiding [COF] through new upcoming governance laws," Freund says. "My family's past involvement in [COF] is also motivation for me to continue to be involved and help where I can." He hopes to emphasize the advantage of COF benefits, including insurance coverage, and spiritual, social and community programs. Freund says the 50th National Convention is his favorite memory of COF to date, describing his election to trustee as an honor.
