Merger expected between Holy Family Parish and Notre Dame de Chicago Parish

It was announced in January that Cardinal Cupich of the Archdiocese of Chicago has decided the Holy Family and Notre Dame de Chicago parishes will merge to form a new parish, ending Sunday morning Mass at the historic Holy Family Church. As Sunday morning Mass is integral to the vibrant Holy Family community, the parishioners signed and presented a petition to the Cardinal asking him to prayerfully reconsider his decision. Additionally, Catholic Order of Foresters (COF) takes serious responsibility in supporting the continuation of Sunday Mass at Holy Family as COF was founded in 1883 at Holy Family Church. The parish continues to pray for a miracle as the Cardinal reviews the petition, and it’s not too late to show your support. Send a message to the Cardinal encouraging him to allow Sunday morning Mass to continue at Holy Family parish. For more information about the merge, visit this page. Every voice counts in helping this parish keeps its mission alive!
