Recruiting for Your Event

Whether you are planning a social, Feeding God’s Children (FGC) or Matching Funds event, it is important to spread the word about it. Keep reading to learn how to recruit people for your event!

Use Sign-in Sheets from Prior Events

Invite people who have attended your events before. Call or email them to share the details of your upcoming event, and let them know you would love to see them there.

Partner with Another Organization

To get more people involved, you can partner with another local organization such as schools, church groups, bible studies, young adult groups, RCIA, confirmation classes or businesses. The more people you get involved, the better! This way, you both benefit from cross promotion. On the flyers, you can mention the organization you are partnering with, and the organization can share this flyer with other members. These flyers are an easy way to make a big impact!

Promote, promote, promote!

It is so important to promote your event! This informs others, especially non-members, about your special event. One of the best ways to promote your event is to use your court’s webpage on Each local court has a Court Web Admin who may add information to the Event Calendar and News pages, among other pages. By adding the event to your court’s Event Calendar, website visitors will be able to see information about your event. You can also copy and paste the event page’s URL onto your social media sites! It’s a simple way to inform your friends and family who you might not see often.  Use the hashtags #AnswerTheCall and #10YearsOfService when you post on social media.
