Feeding God’s Children©/Join Hands Day
The heart of fraternalism lies in volunteer service and community outreach. In 2009 COF launched this national service project held in conjunction with NFCA's Join Hands Day. In its inaugural year more than 80 courts and 3,500 volunteers participated. This record setting event achieved COF's mission of providing social, spiritual, and community outreach.
Our theme, Feeding God's Children, addresses the spiritual call to service found in Matthew 25, "For I was hungry and you gave me food . . . . as often as you did it for one of my least brothers, you did it for me." We achieve community outreach by feeding the hungry in our parishes, community, and the world.
With more than 12 million American children and their families facing hunger and starvation, this program offers a perfect opportunity to serve those in need worldwide or within your own communities.
